You can also create from scratch in the online versions of these software programs. Then you can upload and/or sync your files in OneDrive. With OneDrive, you are still able to use the same desktop software with which you have grown familiar: MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Moreover, if you put a file in the "Shared with Everyone" folder in your OneDrive, you can instantly share it with everyone in your organization. Gone are the days of losing your files on a device that has crashed! Your files are stored and backed up on Microsoft servers across the country rather than on one particular piece of equipment.

Much like Google Drive, OneDrive is a service from Office 365 that allows you to store, access and sometimes even edit your files on any Internet connected device. If you know what it means to "work in the cloud," then you are on the way to understanding OneDrive.
